2nd Kamisama Kiss 'Past Arc' Original Anime DVD Previewed in Video

The official website for the ongoing original anime DVD (OAD) project based on Julietta Suzuki'sKamisama Hajimemashita (Kamisama Kiss) manga began streaming a promotional video for the second OAD on Wednesday.

The ongoing OAD project has four announced episodes so far. The first two episodes adapt the manga's "past arc," which spans from mid-volume 14 to volume 17 in the manga. The first episode shipped with a limited edition of the manga's 22nd volume on August 20.

The second episode, "Kitsune, Koi ni Ochiru" (Fox, Falls in Love), will ship with a limited edition of the manga's 23rd volume on December 18. The pre-order deadline for the limited edition is October 30. The third episode, tentatively titled "Kamisama, Hanayome ni Naru" (The God Becomes a Bride), will ship with a limited edition of the manga's 24th volume on April 20 next year. The fourth episode, tentatively titled "Kamisama, Mukae ni Iku" (I'll Meet Up With the God), will ship with a limited edition of the manga's 25th volume on August 19 next year.

Akitaro Daichi is returning to direct the new anime at TMS Entertainment. Junko Yamanaka is again serving as character designer and chief animation director. The other cast and staff of the anime are also returning.

The story of Julietta Suzuki's original manga begins with Nanami, a girl who finds herself homeless after her father leaves. She comes to the home of a man who offers to let her stay over — only to discover it is a Shinto shrine. The man happened to be a deity who has just transferred his status and his yōkai to Nanami. That yōkai's name is Tomoe, and a contract between him and Nanami can only be sealed in one way: with a kiss.

Suzuki launched the manga in Hakusensha's Hana to Yumemagazine in 2008. Viz Media published the 19th volume in North America on October 6.

The series inspired two anime seasons, and Funimationstreamed both seasons as they aired in Japan. Funimation alsoreleased the first season on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in 2014.

The manga also inspired a previous two-episode OAD project that shipped with the manga's 16th volume in August 2013.

New Gamera Monster CG Footage Unveiled by Katsuhito Ishii

Full version of tokusatu kaijū's anniversary video to premiere at Tokyo Int'l Film Fest

Director Katsuhito Ishii unveiled brand-new Gamera footage during the Gamera 50th Anniversary Event at New York Comic Con on Thursday. The footage features primarily CG, as opposed to the miniatures previously used in the long-running tokusatsu (special effects) franchise.

Ishii (Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren, Redline) and producers Shinichiro Inoue andTsuyoshi Kikuchi confirmed that Ishii is directing a new Gamera project. The footage at New York Comic Con is a short version of the "Gamera 50th Anniversary Special Video" that will premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival, which will run from October 22 to 31. Kankurō Kudō and Rui Takahashi play the father and son, respectively, who appear in the video.

Kadokawa Shoten's Tokusatsu Newtype magazine revealed in May 2014 that a new Gamera project is launching.

This year's Tokyo International Film Festival is also screening four digitally restored Gamera films. The 1967 film Giant Monster Mid-Air Battle: Gamera vs. Gyaos has been digitally restored and will screen during the festival. The Gamera: Guardian of the Universe, Gamera 2: Attack of Legion, and Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris films have also received 4K digital restorations, and will screen during the festival.

The giant turtle monster Gamera made his debut in Daiei's 1965 film Daikaijū Gamera (Gamera the Giant Monster). His last feature film was Chiisaki Yūsha-tachi ~Gamera~ (Gamera the Brave)in 2006.

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced at its New York Comic Con panel on Thursday that it will stream the Is the order a rabbit? anime's second season, and The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST anime as they air in Japan.

Crunchyroll will begin streaming The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST on Friday at 2:15 p.m. EDT. It will be available for Crunchyroll users in United States (and its territories), Canada, Central and South America (including the Caribbean), United Kingdom and Ireland, Europe (and its territories), South Africa, and MENA.

The "rather risque battle action" story centers around Basara Tōjō, a first-year high school student who is flustered by a sudden question by his eccentric father, "Hey, didn't you used to say you wanted a little sister?" In addition, his father announces that he is getting remarried. His father brings over two beautiful step-sisters, but then embarks on an overseas trip. However, the two sisters Mio and Maria Naruse are actually a novice devil and succubus.

Basara almost ends up forming a dangerous servant and master contract with them, but due to an error, the contract becomes reversed, and Basara becomes the master instead. To add to things, erotic situations continuously start to happen in Basara's life. However, it turns out Mio is having her life targeted by other monsters and heroes. And so, the "desire/action" tale of the strongest contracter begins.

Crunchyroll streamed the anime's first season as it aired in Japan.

Crunchyroll will begin streaming Is the order a rabbit? on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. EDT. It will be available for Crunchyroll users in North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and Turkey.

Based on Koi's original four-panel manga of the same name, the anime centers on the main character Cocoa (a pun of “hot cocoa”), who arrives at the cafe Rabbit House one day, excited for rabbits. She actually all but lives in that café. She meets lots of different girls there, including a tiny and cool girl named Chino (from “cappucino”), a tough and soldier-esque girl named Rize (“Thé des Alizés” tea), a spacey and quintessentially Japanese girl named Chiya (“Uji matcha” tea), and the ordinary but dignified Sharo (“Kilimanjaro” coffee). Koi launched the original manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Max magazine in 2011.

WHITE FOX's first season of the anime premiered in Japan in April 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks licensed the second season for North American release.

Animax Asia Airs Kinmoza! TV Anime

Comedy anime airs 2 episodes every Wed/Thu at 7:00 p.m. (JKT/BKK), 8:00 p.m. (SIN/PH)

International television channel Animax Asia began airing the Kinmoza! (Kiniro + Mosaic) anime on Wednesday. The anime is airing four episodes every week (two episodes each on Wednesday and Thursday) at 7:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 8:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines.

Animax Asia describes the series:

Shinobu Omiya, once went to England for a short stay. When Shinobu was there, she met Alice Cartalet and enjoyed the time spent with her, despite their language barrier.

One day, Shinobu receives a letter from Alice, saying she is coming to Japan. However, before Shinobu manages to translate and understand the letter, Alice appears in her school.

What will school life be for Shinobu and Alice? How will this cross cultural and language friendship blossom?

The anime aired in Japan in July 2013. A second season with 12 episodes premiered in Japan on April 5.

Tensho (Rewrite's opening animation director, designs) directed the anime at Studio Gokumi (NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them!, Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge) from scripts by Yuniko Ayana (Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl, Bakuman.). Kazuyuki Ueda (NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them! chief animation director) handled the character designs.

The five main voice cast members Asuka Nishi (Shinobu Ōmiya), Manami Tanaka (Alice Cartelet), Risa Taneda (Aya Komichi), Nao Tōyama (Karen Kujō), and Yumi Uchiyama (Yōko Inokuma) performed the opening theme song "Jumping!!" and ending theme "Your Voice" under the unit name Rhodanthe*.

The anime is based on Yui Hara's Kin-iro Mosaic manga, which she launched in Houbunsha'sManga Time Kirara Max magazine in 2010. Houbunsha published the manga's sixth compiled book volume on June 27.

Aniplus HD to Air Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen Fantasy Anime on Sunday

Southeast Asian channel Aniplus HD announced on Wednesday that it will begin airing the Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen anime on Sunday. The anime will air at 10:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 11:00 p.m. in Singapore.

Aniplus HD describes the story:

A man awakes in the snowy mountains, with no memories of his name or his past. Suddenly, he gets attacked by a giant fanged creature out to hunt him. He runs for his life and is saved by a beautiful girl. The very moment he takes her hand, the story begins.

The anime premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo last Saturday. The show is planned for 25 episodes.

AQUAPLUS previously streamed the anime's second promotional video in August.

Keitaro Motonaga (Date A Live, ToHeart - Remember my memories, School Days) is directing the anime at the studio WHITE FOX. Masahiko Nakata (Utawarerumono, Tears to Tiara) is adapting the original character designs by Tatsuki Amazuyu (Utawarerumono, Tears to Tiara, ToHeart2franchise) and Misato Mitsumi (ToHeart2 franchise). Munemitsu Suga is supervising the scenario, and Takamitsu Kouno (ToHeart2ad, Utawarerumono OAV, We Without Wings - Under the Innocent Sky, Abnormal Physiology Seminar) is serving as series script supervisor. Naoya Shimokawa (To Heart franchise) and AQUAPLUS are credited with the music.

The anime is based on AQUAPLUS' game of the same name. The game's main cast reprise their roles for the anime:

Keiji Fujiwara as Haku. Kuon saved him and gave him a name. He has lost most of his memories, and his origins are unclear.

Risa Taneda as Kuon. A doctor with ears and tail like an animal's. Separated from her homeland, she encounters Haku while traveling along leisurely.

Ai Kakuma as Rurutie, a princess in waiting of Kujūri, a colony of the great country Yamato

Inori Minase as Nekone, Ukon's little sister

Kentarou Tone as Ukon, whom Haku and Kuon got to know at a tavern

Yumi Hara as Atui

Takahiro Sakurai as Ougi

Additionally, Ayane Sakura will play Ululu and Sarana.

The original Utawarerumono adventure simulation game takes place in a world where people have animal ears and tails, and rival generals battle for supremacy. AQUAPLUS released the original Utawarerumono game in 2002 for the PC. The game inspired a 2006 television anime series and a 2009 original video anime series.

The second game, which is also titled Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen, shipped on September 24 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in Japan. The producer also promised that the third game will be released within one-and-a-half to two years after the release of the second.

Project X Zone 2 Trailer Runs Down List of Crossover Characters

3DS strategy RPG slated for February in the west

Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming its New York Comic Con trailer for Project X Zone 2 on Thursday. The 12-minute video previews the game's characters and various game systems. It also features marina's opening theme song "All the World's a Stage."

Bandai Namco Entertainment describes the game:

Developed by Monolith Software Inc, Project X Zone 2gives gamers the opportunity to play as their favorite characters from a multitude of franchises including the “Tekken” series, Tales of Vesperia, and “.hack//” series from Bandai Namco; the “Resident Evil” series, “Devil May Cry” series, and “Megaman X” series from CAPCOMas well as Yakuza: Dead Souls, the “Sakura Wars” series, and “Virtua Fighter” series from Sega, with many others to be revealed. Players will form teams of characters hailing from these classic series' and engage enemies through strategic turn-based battles.

Similar to the first game, the sequel features characters from various Bandai Namco Entertainment, Sega, and CAPCOM franchises, with the addition of characters from Nintendo and Intelligent Systems' Fire Emblem Awakening game. Monolith Software Inc. is developing the game, which will allow players to "maneuver characters into position and perform strategic attacks using different combinations in real time."

marina will perform both the opening theme "Sekai wa Hitotsu no Budai" ("All the World's a Stage") and the ending theme "Tsuki Akari no Curtain Call." Yūzō Koshiro composed the songs andSōichirō Morizumi wrote the lyrics.

The Nintendo 3DS strategy role-playing game will ship in Japan on November 12, and will ship in North America on February 16, and in Europe on February 19.

The original Project X Zone game shipped in Japan in October 2012, in North America in June 2013, and in Europe in July 2013.
