The official website for the television anime of Saki Nakagawa's Attack on Titan: Junior High(Shingeki! Kyojin Chūgakkō) spinoff manga began streaming the third promotional video on Monday. The video features narration by Levi and Hanji.
The video reveals that Yuuki Kaji (Eren), Kishô Taniyama (Jean), and Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa) will perform the ending theme song "Hangeki no Daichi" (Ground's Counterattack) under the unit name "Attackers." The single for the song will ship on November 18, and the staff plan to release a series of character song CDs after the release of the ending theme single.
The manga re-imagines Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and other characters from the original manga as students and teachers at Titan Junior High School. The cast members from the original Attack on Titan anime are returning.
Yoshihide Ibata (Ashiaraiyashiki no Jūnin-tachi, episode director for Kill la Kill, Haikyu!!) is directing the series at Production I.G. Midori Gotou (Hozuki's Coolheadedness, Genshiken: Second Generation) is handling the series composition, Yuuko Yahiro (Diabolik Lovers, B Gata H Kei - Yamada’s First Time) is the character designer, and Asami Tachibana (Haikyu!!, Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign, Robotics;Notes) is composing the music.
Linked Horizon (Attack on Titan's two opening themes) will perform the show's opening theme song "Seishun wa Hanabi no Yō ni" (Youth is Like Fireworks).
The series will premiere on MBS on October 3 at 25:58 (effectively October 4 at 1:58 a.m.). The series will also air on Tokyo MX, BS11, RKK, and SBS.
Nakagawa launched the Attack on Titan: Junior High comedy manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in April 2012. Kodansha released the eighth compiled volume in Japan on August 7. Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga in English, and it will publish the fourth compiled volume in November.
