Voice Actress Rie Yamaguchi Retires From Voice Acting


Voice actress Rie Yamaguchi announced on her official blog on March 1 that she resigned from her agency 81Produce on February 28, and has retired from voice acting. She states that she has a new goal to work toward. She will delete the blog in a few days.
Yamaguchi thanks her first agency JTB Entertainment, 81Produce, FlyingDog, her staff, and her fans. She states that her last work is MyDearest's School of Talent: SUZU-ROUTE game, where she voices the heroine Suzu Yuki.
Yamaguchi noted that she harbored the dream of becoming a voice actress since she was in middle school. She initially worked with JTB Entertainment but switched to 81Produce in 2012.
Yamaguchi debuted in the 2009 anime Elementhunters as the character Hannah Weber. She has appeared in such anime as Freezing (Mackenzie Torisu), Is This a Zombie? (Taeko Hiramatsu), Sacred Seven (Ageha Yamaguchi), Kamisama Dolls (Yurako Somaki), Morita-san wa Mukuchi. (Maki-sensei), and Chibi-Devi!(Natsuki). She has released two singles, both as ending theme songs for the Is This a Zombie? and Is This a Zombie? of the Dead anime. She released an album in 2011.
