Ongaku Shōjo TV Anime's 2nd Promo Video Previews Ending Theme

Series premieres on July 6

The official website for the Ongaku Shōjo (Music Girls) television anime series began streaming the show's second promotional video on Monday. The video previews the show's ending thme song "Shining Peace" by the show's cast, under the unit name "Ongaku Shōjo."
The show will premiere on AT-X on July 6 at 11:00 p.m., before later airing on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 7 late at night.
The anime is based on the anime short that Studio DEEN produced for the Anime Mirai 2015 project. The story follows the protagonist Hanako Yamadaki when she encounters the obscure, low-selling 11-member "C-list" idol unit Ongaku Shōjo. Their producer Ikehashi thinks the unit needs a new member. Together, Ongaku Shōjo and Hanako strive for the top of the music world.

Yukio Nishimoto (Animal YokochoNajica Blitz TacticsThe Galaxy Railways) is directing the television anime at Studio DEENDeko Akao (After the RainAmanchu!Arakawa Under the BridgeFlying WitchNoragami) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Momoka Komatsu is adapting the original character designs by Matsuri Santa for animation. King Records is producing the music.
Yui Ogura will perform the opening theme song "Eien Shōnen."
The original 2015 Ongaku Shōjo short begins when Eri, a girl who likes to stay indoors, meets a mysterious but enthusiastic transfer student named Haru. Eri used to love to sing and Haru loves Eri's singing. The story follows the two during one summer of their high school life as their love sometimes overlaps and sometimes passes by each other. Seto and Numakura are reprising their roles of Eri and Haru for the television anime.
