Kyoto Animation TV anime's final volume to ship on June 26
The seventh Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of Kyoto Animation's Amagi Brilliant Park anime will include a special unaired episode. The release will also include the 13th and final episode that aired on television. The television series' seventh Blu-ray Disc and DVD release is slated to ship in Japan on June 26.
The release will also include the "Waku Waku Mini Theater Rakugaki Backstage Sono 7" video, specially illustrated cases, special guide, stickers, and cast and staff commentaries. The limited-edition Blu-ray Disc release will cost 6,975 yen (about US$58), while the limited-edition DVD will cost 5,975 yen (US$50).
The "Amagi Brilliant Park Kaien 30 Shūnen Kinen Premium Event" (Amagi Brilliant Park Opening 30th Anniversary Commemorative Premium Event) will be held in Tokyo's Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku on April 26 at 7:00 p.m. The anime's main voice cast members will attend the event, and tickets will cost 3,800 yen (US$32).
The television series directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto (Full Metal Panic!, Lucky Star,Hyōka) premiered in Japan in October. The anime's third Blu-ray Disc and DVD release shipped in Japan on Friday.
The "slapstick drama" begins with Seiya Kanie, a high school boy who is invited on a date in an amusement park by a mysterious beautiful transfer student named Isuzu Sento. He is introduced to Latifah, a "real" princess and the park's manager, and is asked to be the acting manager of this "disappointing amusement park in the Tokyo suburbs."
Shoji Gatoh (Full Metal Panic!) launched the original light novel series withillustrations by Yuka Nakajima (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!/Papa Kiki!) in 2013. Fantasia Bunko published the fifth compiled volume last October.
