2nd anime film in franchise opens on October 24

The official website for the PriPara anime franchise announced on Saturday that the franchise is getting a musical adaptation in February 2016. The website will announce more details about the musical at a later date. Those who are members of the "PriPara Official Bodyguards" fanclub can apply to be able to purchase tickets before the general public.
The first anime series inspired by Syn Sophia's arcade game for girls premiered in July 2014. The franchise's first film, Gekijō-ban Pri Para Mi~nna Atsumare! Prism Tours, premiered this past March, and the second season premiered in April. The second season is changing timeslots from every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to every Monday at 6:30 p.m. The series will keep its current broadcasting schedule through September 26 and will begin airing in its new timeslot on October 5.
The second anime film (pictured at right), Tobidasu PriPara~Miina de Mezase! Idol Grand Prix (Spring Out PriPara ~Aim for the Top, Eee everyone! Idol Grand Prix), will open in both 2D and stereoscopic 3D versions in Japan on October 24.
The story of the television anime revolves around Laala, an elementary school girl who wants to become an idol in Pri Para, a sport that judges girls on their song, dance, and fashion. The invitation to the sport is through a Pri Para ticket. Even though elementary school students at her school are not allowed to become PriPara idols, through many events, she passes the audition, and becomes an idol.
