Legendary Pokémon Hoopa, Free-to-Play Pokémon Shuffle Game Introduced With Videos

Hoopa will be available in Pokémon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire

The Pokémon Company began streaming a trailer on Wednesday introducing the new legendary Pokémon Hoopa. Hoopa is the first psychic- and ghost-type Pokémon and will be available inPokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, but not through normal gameplay.

Hoopa will star in the Pokémon franchise's next film Ring no Chōmajin Hoopa (The Ring Genie Hoopa), which opens in Japan on July 18.

The Pokémon Company also began streaming a trailer introducing the Nintendo 3DS gamePokémon Shuffle. The game will be available on Nintendo eShop in the United States and Europe in February for free with the option to purchase in-game items.

In the game, players "fight" wild Pokémon using a matching puzzle game with their own Pokémon. As in the original games, Pokémon have type advantages and are able to level up. Some are able to Mega Evolve.
