Recommended Anime of April 2015

This is a brand new season and we have lots of interesting series. Wonder how you guys like the shows now. There are quite a handful of series that caught our attentions like Shokugeki no Souma and the second season of UBW. Let’s jump right into the list.

You might have heard of stories of this sort from time to time, it is what we call classic and something that we want to taste again and again. And what’s even better, you might heard of the series on the Internet even though you have no idea of what it is because of our Loli protagonist Hestia’s morden custome. It passes like a storm that all of a sudden, it becomes a trend for all cosplayers. The story itself is interesting and we some of the main cast staff from Sword Art Online.
Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu

As a spin-off of the original series, that characters are something we are already familiar with, and for the story, it is something that most Nagato fans have dreamed of. The story, as the title indicates, follows the line of Nagato and Kyon as normal high school students. Of course, some other characters like Haruhi also shows up in the following episodes.
Shokugeki no Souma

Well, as one of the most expected series of the season, the story didn’t fail us and we have already enjoyed the great animation, as well as fan services in each episodes. The quality of the animation is above average in the first few episodes and we hope it will continue to shine. And last advice, do not watch the series when you are hungry, mind your calorie.
Owari no Seraph

The series first caught my attention as I saw our female protonist and suddenly I was attracted by the cuteness of Shinoa. The story revolves around the battle of human and vampires and two of our protagonists stands on each of the side. The first few episodes somehow remind me of Ao no Exorcist which has a lot in common. The quality of the animation was great in the first few episodes and however started to fall in the most recent one. Hope the studio will keep it up.
High School DxD BorN

No need to introduce and this is a series filled with fan services even in the title. The story however is a pleasure to watch and as a fan of the original light novel I was quite satified so far. Lots of little details were missed in the production of the Anime but we do enjoy it regardless. NSFW, you are warned.
Fate/stay night UBW Second Season

Second cour of the series. As a newly created series, UBW inherits the high quality standard of the Anime studio’s previous works and we can see lots of details and movement in the Anime and all of a sudden we worried about how much they have spent on all these.
Plastic Memories

Plastic Memories / プラスティック・メモリーズ

Even though the series was given a genre of Love Comedy officially, we do see some sorrow and sadness right from the beginning. Though we have lots of complain about the settings of Giftia, wondering why such cutting-edge technology will be jeopardized by memory card limits, we do find ourselves falling in love with the story. For those who hasn’t, take a shot.
Arslan Senki

Arslan Senki / アルスラーン戦記

Written by Yoshiki Tanaka and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa who is also the author of the well know Fullmetal Alchemist, the main story is something we are quite familar with, revenge. The best part is that we won’t need to worry too much about the plot cause it was already well written, and Hiromu Arakawa’s work also strengthen our confidence. This is a general series loved by all ages.

Kyoto Animation continues to fail me of their recents works. I love original stories with niche topics but this is coming to a point where there are really few people enjoying the show except for its beautiful animation. The story is somehow boring in the first few episodes and for those who don’t know nothing about instruments, it gets even more difficult to follow.
Nisekoi: Second Season

Nisekoi: Second Season / ニセコイ:

Second season of the series. Quite similar to the first season but we still have no idea what makes the difference. If you are a fan of the original Manga series, you might already know that instead of digging to the main theme, the author simply added more and more girls and suddenly this turns the Anime from a Love Comedy to a Harem cliche.
Sidonia no Kishi: Daikyuu Wakusei Seneki

Second season of the 3D series. I loved the series right from the beginning and dropped it after the death of our main character. And when I saw a new season coming, I thought I should pick it up so I did. Mixed with saddness of losing someone important and the joy of knowing some part of them are still here, the series gives me a feeling of relief. The second season follows the first one, and we finally have a new female protagonist (well, at least this is what I call). Start watching now and you won’t be disappointed.
