Game-compatible figure was released in February as Game Stop exclusive
Nintendo's CPSIA Certificates of Compliance page is listing an April 2015 date of manufacture for several Amiibo figures, including Shulk, indicating a possible upcoming restock.
The Splatoon Amiibo figures, Mega Man, Link, the Super Marioversions of Mario, Toad, and Bowser also carry April 2015 dates of manufacture.
The Shulk figure was first announced in November and shipped in February as a Game Stop exclusive.
On Monday, Nintendo issued a new statement on its Facebook page:
We're trying to meet the demands of our fans and consumers by increasing the amount of amiibo we manufacture and ship to retail. We may continue to see consumer demand outpace supply levels for certain characters at times, but we will do our best to prevent that from happening.
Since Nintendo launched the Amiibo figures in November 2014, several figures have become difficult to find. Nintendo stated in December that some Amiibo—popular characters such as Mario and Link—will always be available while others will not return after their initial shipment due to shelf space constraints.
Nintendo plans to release Animal Crossing-themed Amiibo in card form later this year.
